Fan2Fan ticket confusion

I see a lot of people looking to buy tickets, I’m a little confused on how that’s possible. It seems the fan2fan exchange is the only way to buy/sell tickets, am I missing something? Any insight would be appreciated.

I don't get it... When I agreed to purchase the lottery tickets (unfortunately I didn't get either of the Hollywood shows I selected) there was a message that restricted the sale of tickets above face value... however all of the tickets listed online all for way above face value... seems like this initiative doesn't work as intended

That only applies to the good people that follow the rules. For the scalpers there is always a way. They basically never transfer the tickets and host them on a live website and email the link to the buyers.

whats up with some of these post on FB about people already having tickets to sell?  Hard to know what to trust!  I mean I will most likely have to sell my seats to  Raleigh...but hoping by some miracle I can get 2 seats for Hollywood.  But only want to do this Fan2Fan.  I got my Releigh seat via 10C lottery.

Some are going to be scams and some are going to be legit. Personally I'd be weary of buying off of Facebook or Reddit unless the person agrees to use PayPal Goods and Service. Sure there is a fee but at least there is buyer protection if the sale does pear shaped. Using Cash App or Venmo or Zelle doesn't afford that option. If you do have to list on F2F I'm sure this community would apprentice a heads up for a chance to beat the bots for those tickets. Hopefully you can use them though.

Yeah, the reason I was asking is that I have 2 tickets to get rid of for ATL night 1 and was wondering with all the people asking for tickets how they were going about buying them not on the Fan2Fan, which I’m fine using but figured if I could sell them before it opens legitimately I would.

Well the ticket brokers have built a system to get around the no transfer rule. It's not 100% guaranteed but you will at least get your money back if the transaction goes south and they can't find you equal or better seats. Off TM and those sites it takes trust that the seller will either give you the login credentials to their account or walk in with you. The level of trust within this community is more than Facebook or Reddit but their is still a chance it won't work. TM is the safest option for both buyer and seller. If you give people a heads up in the F2F thread when you are dropping tickets I'm sure it will be appreciated.

Sad state of affairs when we cant even use our ten club memberships to get presale tickets. Failure on all parts for $900 tix.  I remember getting my tickets sent to me from the Ten Club, now Ticketassblaster and arenas are monopolies and Senate committee members want to pretend they care let alone the artist. There is a way to sell tickets with out these guys, there is a way to play other venues dont tell me you have no control, its your music and we are here to see you.  I joined 10 club again this year with hopes of going to a show again and seeing the guys one last time, that will never happen again. Canceling my Ten club renewal, not sure what the point it anymore.  WE HAVE TO DO BETTER.
