At least with that group posts do not need to be approved by admins causing a delay. It is fun to see GA posted on other groups and they have already been sol hours ago.

It definitely feels that, although very well intentioned by PJ, not being able to transfer tickets once they're bought actually makes it more difficult to get tickets to fans.  Scalper bots have figured out a way to still grab all the tickets... and making it harder to transfer tickets makes it easier for them to price gauge in the after market. 

As always I commend the band's efforts to battle scalpers, but it seems like it has backfired a bit. 

Allowing transfer would open up a ton of problems and increase scalping. What could help is allowing to resell BELOW paid price. If you're gonna have the ability to transfer it needs to be done via 10C not TM

while your persistence is admirable... what in that time made you think there was a chance for tickets. Obviously keeping a finger on the pulse of the drops makes sense. I wouldn't waste the time until the buzz of wins and BOTS letting up makes the searching worth the effort. Now spending time brokering drops, watching for links and networking for plus one walk ins is the only efforts that produce results in these hard times..

Im trying all of the above, but remain stubbornly dedicated to grabbing one on a random drop before the bots.  It woudl be a tiny moral victory to beat the bots and a HUGE win for my personal happiness to attend the show (FLA2), so if anyone needs a walk-in buddy - im your guy!

And, if by some stroke of luck, I managed to get a pair, I will be offering a single to someone from this board as a walk-in. No putting it up for grabs or offering to one of those randos on FB.

Got to look in the cracks... if your searching TM.. the time when drops would not be cartable right away brought me 3 scores, and also overnights and weekends might be your best bets.. but week of shows when resellers have too much inventory and have to dump their inventory.

Yea lowering lowering resale below face value would help, that's also up to the reseller now.  I dont think limiting transfers would increase scalping because it hasnt slowed them down at all.  All it does is allow scalpers to hike prices up more, and make it harder for fans to get tickets. Try getting a second hand ticket for NIN or another Arena act that is similar.  Scalping it still there, but the prices aren't as high.  And you don't risk the trade up scenarios PJ fans have to go through.  Making it easier to trade gives less control to the scalpers.  

I DO think 10C lottery works to be clear. That seems to keep bots out.
