If anyone has a GA ticket they want to trade for my reserved one (either night) I'll be forever grateful.

NC state grad and I live in Raleigh.  If you tour campus be sure to check out the Hunt Library, it's a futuristic view of what a library can be.  Also they have our in house Ice cream shop in the lobby.  Downtown Raleigh is close by and easy to find parking.  She might like the Village district, it's a outdoor restaurant and shopping spot.   We do have a good science museum if you are into that kind of stuff.  I also have teenagers so I was really trying to think of other things they like to do.  One other would be Boxcar it's a arcade and bar, but before 7pm or so any age can go in and play.  And then across the street is Videri Chocolate.

Anyone know if there is food/coffee within walking distance of the venue for those of us who will be in the GA line early?

There is a pretty decent gas station about half a mile away.  Beside that is a Wendy's and a Bojangles (get a biscuit).  There is a tunnel under Edwards Mill road that will take you to a very small shopping center, may be 3/4 mile walk.  I think there is a restaurant and a bar over there.   Like others have said the stadium is kinda off on it's on and hasn't had much development around it.

I’m not going to lie.  I’m from NJ and anytime we drive south I make sure we stop at Bojangles.

  • Hopefully my unedited post didn't confuse anyone. I posted the info in the wrong thread.

We're in the Ramada Inn for Raleigh as well.
I almost replied to say I didn't remember a la Quinta being built over there but left it alone

There is a decent little cafe called Wade Cafe that is across the street -- I think the same one jrouse was talking about. And yeah Bojangles is close too -- their coffee isn't great but a chicken biscuit will get you where you wanna go.

I recommend Char-Grill if you like a good burger. I ate there all the time when I went to NC State

Piling on (also NCSU grad and Raleigh local -- though maybe a bit older)...

Take a walk around main campus -- DH Hill library (I believe they also have Howling Cow ice cream), the brickyard, free expression tunnel, student center. Some good spots on Hillsborough Street -- Mitch's Tavern, Players Retreat, Cup a Joe, Readers Corner and Nice Price Books.

The JC Raulston Arboretum is close to the venue and a beautiful spot to kill a few hours or have a picnic.

Another benefit of Raleigh shows is that I never knew there were so many fellow NC State grads/attendees in here.

The Ramada Inn near Lenovo Center doesn't list Air Conditioning under their amenities. Does anyone know if they do have A/C in their rooms?

    Wait, seats behind the stage?
  • Original_ShiftyOriginal_Shifty Great White North Posts: 491
I'm wondering how accurate this is. I guess we'll find out as seats get assigned. I think they'll still have the big screen.

  • They still have the screen on this tour, I'm pretty sure, so no behind the stage, which is a bummer imo. A, I love behind the stage, B, if I;m in front of the stage its more fun/energizing to see the band completely surrounded by fans.
Also I recall the chart shown on the MO site showed the sections available for 10C and there was no behind the stage
  • Just got my seat assignment email for night 1 so those are starting up
