Post your favorite photos....a photography thread.

I tried to find some photography threads but didn't find many that were just general photography. A few years back I bought an entry level DSLR, but I usually only bust it out if I'm traveling. I've also found that sometimes my phone captures better images than my Nikon because I've screwed up the settings. (Yes, I'm a complete amateur at this.) So if you want, post what you took the photo with: phone, dslr, mirrorless, etc. If you feel like adding a description of the photo, that's welcome as well. Any subject, any place, anywhere in the world...

I'll start:

A market in Jodhpur, India
Nikon D3300, 35mm lens

I have tons of amazing photos. Here is one to start with.

    Dubrovnik, Croatia
    Canon EOS T5i

I have since upgraded my camera to a
Fujifilm XT30ii. It is mirrorless. So much lighter than my Canon and the zoom lens is amazing.

Cool thread! I always love seeing photos from all over the world.

There were some cool photography threads in The Art Wall forum a while back. I haven’t checked in over there in a few years though so I don’t know how many pages deep they are buried now.

Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, Arizona

Taken with my Canon Eos T5i - These were taken in RAW format and edited using Lightroom.

Thanks. I have been doing photography a long time. I used to work in a darkroom, and have developed my own black and white film and photos. Those days are long gone. Antelope Canyon was amazing. If you want to take photos with anything but a phone, you have to sign up for a special photography tour. Usually, they shuffle people through. But with the photography tour they give time to set up tripods. You really need a tripod in there to capture all the colors in the low light. Also, Lightroom is a game changer. If you haven't used it yet, I suggest you check it out. It is a yearly subscription, but if you take a lot of photos in RAW (which is much better quality over JPEG) it is a necessity.

I started using Lightroom about a year ago. That's when I started taking photos in RAW. It's pretty crazy what you can do with it.

I know. It is great. I always use RAW now - even though it takes up more room on the memory card. I really haven't used my new Fujifilm camera much at this point, but it is so much better than my Canon. I have some photos in there I need to still edit. Once I do that, I will post.
