The Juggler is enjoying The Penguin.

Anyone else enjoying/enjoyed this show?

I am 4 episodes in and I think it is just about living up to the hype I've seen about it. This Sofia episode was pretty fucking intense. Looking forward binging the rest....

I started it but wasn't paying enough attention. Definitely going to start it over. Hearing a lot of good things about it.

I read someone say that ep 4 (or maybe 5?) was some of the best TV ever

That's the one I was talking about. Yeah. Got the same feeling I had as that one amazing season 1 True Detective episode-- for different reasons---but it kind of cemented, for me, that this show is top notch.

It was awesome. Wish there would be a second season, but Colin says it’s unlikely he’d be willing to go through the fat suit shit again

I finished it the other night. Fantastic from start to finish.

Also, I have to admit that I totally forgot he was actually in the most recent Batman movie. I gotta watch that again.

They have to be convinced to do another season of this at some point. Golden Globes, Emmy's to come....the ratings were good. I would imagine the money would be too much to turn down.

This series is supposed to be a kind of bridge from The Batman to the sequel.
Pengy wasn't super prominent in The Batman but had a couple of important scenes (car chase scene, and his attempt to kill Carmine for being a rat before Riddler does the job). No idea how he'll figure in the sequel.

The series was great. Was stunned by the way things with Vic turned out.

I thought I read Penguin was the prequel to The Batman, not a bridge between the first and second

No it takes place a week after the Riddler blew shit up at the end of the movie.

    spoiler

@Poncier regarding Vic.....yup. To me that's always one of the leading indicators of a great show, just having the balls to do that to a main character. So I'd love for them to attempt to go on without in a second season.

ok, I tried to watch The Batman last week but fell asleep halfway through and then my rental expired. Stupid Amazon, charging me to rent a movie when I subscribe to Prime.

I think I fell asleep in the theater lol. It was good. Just long. Not my favorite of the Batmans though...

I completely forgot pretty much the entire movie. I might have to rent it again and lay off the Crown Royal.
