Pearl Jam recording for a new album?

An Australian audio engineer and musician based in Melbourne has said that whilst in Melbourne, Pearl Jam visited a recording studio to record new music. He played some dubs and keys on a few tracks. Stone recorded a personal shout out to the radio show which can be heard later in the clip.

Interesting.

Skip to 13min 10sec in this clip (if you can get past the lame Aussie radio cringe).

I don’t think it’s the name of a new song unfortunately

Even recording a track for a film is exciting, has Watt been spotted down under? Sounds like juices are flowing

I'm looking forward to PJ's Petrodragonic Apocalypse in that case. I think they've already done their Silver Cord - didn't Ed record a bunch of electronic/dance songs while he was on ecstasy many years ago?? Would love to hear THAT.

I understood the part about "pressure point" being the title of a song as a joke that Stone made.  However the part about that sound engineer on the show saying they brought him in to do some recording was true, correct?

I think it's true. The whole story that the one guy had about playing different parts on different songs and how gracious and collaborative everyone was would be a very long way to b all just a set up for a joke. Clearly stone and him were in the same room together for stone to record that promo, which was a joke, but to me it seemed separate from the story of the band recording.

In the later clips the hosts seem to think it hilarious that the joke went viral and people didn't know it was a joke, but that all still seemed to be around the Pressure Point bit, and none of what the one guy was originally talking about had anything to do with that joke, unless it was all an elaborate set up. I mean, it is schlocky morning show radio, so anything is possible but I took it as two separate things, one legit and one a joke.

At the 10:30 mark the hosts go through it all again and seems very clear only Pressure Point was a joke and the rest is legit..https://youtu.be/LDXsRjI5xWk?si=1dDldkxyNZVG69Gu
