***Request - DOWN - Sydney***

My first time to ever make a request for a PJ show, but doing this for my husband, Mark - Down is his fav song and he's really hoping to hear it live this tour. We've been to all 3 shows so far and traveling to Sydney tomorrow for last 2 shows (we're from Melb).

We have been together since 1982, I was 13, he was 16, we're now 56 and 59, married 38 years with 5 sons and have been fortunate enough to see PJ every Australian tour (first one in 1995, just had our third son 2ish months before - he was born on 23rd December coincidentally!)

Don't wanna get too political, but I will be the one wearing my Protect Trans Kids jumper (hopefully not too hot in Sydney).  Our 4th child (Evan) is trans - We support and advocate for our son's right to choose the way he lives, recent stories coming out of the U.S. surrounding the rights of transgender individuals, particularly concerning access to healthcare, legal protections, and public recognition of gender identity, the disturbing rise in the number of anti-trans bills introduced in some U.S. states, impacting everything from healthcare access for transgender youth to restrictions on gender-affirming care have deeply disturbed and upset him.

He came out at age 14 and is now 19, it was particularly hard for him to come out as he was our only "assigned female at birth" child so felt some kind of obligation to uphold that (Daughter has a whole new meaning for us now, lol), he and we have gone through some major mental health struggles over these last several years, he has a lot of battle scars to show for it but with all the support we have available to us as Australians and with the support of us, his parents, he has now come out the other side and we are attending his Year 12 graduation tonight - it's taken him a little longer but he got there in the end and we are so proud of you Evan :)

In light of the troubling trends in other parts of the world, advocacy, education, and strong legislative protections are key to ensuring that transgender individuals can live with dignity, respect, and equality.  Together, we can help ensure that the rights of transgender individuals in Australia are not only protected but celebrated.

Mark is the most wonderful and caring father, husband, brother, uncle, and support network for all those around him, (he also just lost his father suddenly 4 weeks ago - His dad's initials were PJ, Paul Jordan, funny story- he always thought my PJ stubby holder was made especially for him, and always used it when he came over for a barbie and a beer, lol), so to sum it up, I think Mark deserves to hear Down ;)  (but really we're just so grateful to be at these shows, we'll listen to anything!!)  -  I have loved you for 42 years Mark and it just gets better and better :)

Thank you for your time and attention.  Love and Peace - Jodie
