Rubbish left behind at 10C lines at Pearl Jam Australia shows

Hi all,
I wanted to share something that’s been bothering me during the Australian leg of Pearl Jam's tour. As many of you know, the 10c fans are known for their dedication—lining up overnight to secure a good spot is all part of the experience. But what’s been incredibly disheartening is the amount of rubbish being left behind outside the stadiums by some fans in these lines.
I’ve noticed piles of discarded coffee cups, food wrappers, and, perhaps most concerning, empty alcohol cans scattered around. This is particularly frustrating when there are plenty of bins available nearby. It’s disappointing, to say the least, and reflects poorly on the fan community as a whole.
More than that, it’s a serious issue for the environment. Litter like this doesn’t just disappear—much of it ends up polluting nearby areas or requiring extra resources to clean up. For a country as beautiful as Australia, seeing this kind of mess left behind is heartbreaking. Our landscapes, cities, and communities are too precious to be treated with such disregard.
If you’re lining up early, please take a moment to think about your impact. It’s not hard to use the bins or carry your rubbish with you until you can dispose of it responsibly. Leaving a clean space shows respect for the environment, the organisers, and each other.
Let’s prove that being passionate fans can go hand-in-hand with being thoughtful and responsible. Let’s not ruin our beautiful country for the sake of convenience.
Cheers.
