  • Right now, that show has stuck itself at #2 in my personal show list (mine is very limited compared to some of you crazy people, but tonight was show #12), behind Leeds 2014.

Really great show. Better than night 1, which was in itself really good.

Release brought tears for me as did the tag from Don't Dream... all purposely chosen. Release for my dad is my fave song anyway..... great show, still too many drunks stumbling around. Loved Animal, RVM, Unthought, ATW, Smile... could have done without another Jeremy or RITFW. Glad to hear Upper Hand again and WFS too.

Looks like a great set!  Bummed to miss Neil Finn but had a great time at Auckland 1.  Was really hoping he would join them on Friday night.

Animal and RVM in the encore?  Amazing!

    I concur.
I shall be getting it as soon as it's available.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to say - this is the fourth time I have seen PJ (first time being their first ever tour of NZ back in the 90's) and this is by far the best.
I'd go so far as to say it was the best stadium concert I have ever been to - and I have been to A LOT of stadium concerts in the several decades I have been on this earth.

I am not ashamed to say, when they started playing Release, I wailed along, whilst simultaneously streaming tears like a baby. It was joyous.

The crowd was amazing for a second show, in a large stadium, with a cost of living crisis and an ageing fanbase. Energy was high, people were in bouyant moods and the vibe was so good.

I'm knackered today - I didn't get home until after midnight on a Sunday night, and I am so glad I work from home.

If they were playing again here next week, I'd go.

I took my wife and two teen boys (18 & 19) and they all had a blast - I'm the only real "Superfan", but they are all fans in one way or another and they all had a blast. My oldest son, who is a real music guy, said it's the best gig hes ever been to.

Massive highlights for me last night were:
    • Waiting for Stevie
    • Release
    • Black
    • RITFW
    • Mind Your Manners
    • Animal
Mike McCready...you are the living emodiment of a Rock God. I could listen to your solos all night.

I like how Ed noticed both nights the low number of homeless people on the streets here. I must say, I think it helps that they won't let you into the country unless they see your ticket for the way out!

aah, it's just a little bit more challenging to get into the country than in other countries, due to the vast pacific ocean, but plenty do get in.

This was my 20th show and I absolutely loved it!
I travelled from South Africa for the shows and took my niece who lives in Wellington to her first PJ concert ever. She loved it.

A standout from my 20 shows no doubt….

Everything was great for me. The band was on fire. Ed’s voice was tops. The weather was fantastic and the crowd phenomenal.

    It was a beautiful evening.

Wanted to wait until I heard the show again. Definitely best I've seen (only 4th show). Opening with "Release", and "Black"  is magical. If there is a better one, can't wait to hear.

The Neil Finn part was awesome too. Since Liam was opener, and played as the first night guest, the second night introduction was assumed to be Liam. Then when Neil was announced the crowd went bonkers.

Funny aside: We kept seeing a lot of fans with plastic trays holding 4 drinks. At the drink counter I asked why. The response was, "oh yeah that's because we can only sell 4 drinks at a time". Like if the limit was 8, everyone would have 8 drinks!

    Great show.
