Is anybody else thinking what I'm thinking: that @Santos L. Halper will be sending out the Strat closer to Christmas so that it is like a true present?
The funniest thing would be for the strat to have been delivered weeks ago and the person who got it not being someone who posts here or on Facebook.
Imagine it going to someone with no idea the strat was a possibility. Pure befuddlement at what has shown up at their door.
Or it would end up in someone’s hands that will just flip it on eBay…. Ooof that would suck so bad.
You can just buy one on the Fender site so I'm not sure how flippable it is per se. Very expensive but not a one-off item or anything. (My understanding is that it's not played or signed so strike my response if I'm wrong about any of that.)
It sells for $1900 new… $1500 or so on reverb.com new… that’s an easy $1k flip… sooo very flippable.
I guess I wasn't considering "selling it to someone at a discount" as "flipping"

If you get the strat and you're like "look this is really nice but I'm realistically not going to play or display it" and you sell it to someone who will at a price below MSRP that seems like doing someone a solid vs flipping

The first of my XL bags to arrive in the UK. Overall I'm pretty happy, nothing particularly special but the scarf will come in handy and I like the grey halloween shirt.
My other XL bags showed up in the UK today.
Not going to lie, I'm a bit gutted to get almost entirely identical contents in all 3 bags. All 4 shirts were the same and the special items - the 10c plate and scarf are also identical. The only minor variation was 1 pin different and a couple of the cancelled show stickers.
I know its random, but can't help but feel a sense of disappointment after weeks of anticipation...

This has been an awesome journey tuning into this forum for the last few weeks…it’s been exciting stuff and i await my WM (all for my wife and daughter) but it appears the waiting is nearing its end…. Flying home today from Vegas!
