If we were to go down that path of logic, Wrigley Field would be on the same list due to the Ricketts family's involvement in fundraising/supporting Trump since 2016.

I don't disagree with your disappointment, but I doubt the reality of venue selection would be questioned by the band even under those circumstances.

With respect, that's an over simplification. The both sides argument doesn't apply when it comes to the big picture of making things better. It can be applied when we point out that NO member of Congress, or the Senate should be allowed to invest in the stock market when they help control the laws that govern said market. Dems, or Republicans. Also, there should be term limits. That's something almost everyone can agree on.
But, for all their faults, Democrats are the best (or least worst) option to help champion causes the band believes in: equality, the environment, women's rights. The modern Republican party drifts more towards The Handmaid's Tale & The Hunger Games. Survival of the fittest, richest, and Whitest.
You do have a point when it comes to cult of personality. Hillary had next to none, and was saddled with the baggage of her husband (not a fan of him, in hindsight). But Trump did such a terrible job, even a lifer like Biden seemed like a better choice (and he was, especially with Harris).
One last thing to dispel the both sides argument: the Trump tax cuts (along with rampant deregulation that could put us back in Bush '07-'09 territory) are responsible for the high inflation we now experience.
It takes one second to break a coffee mug, but it takes time to put it back together again. The economy is getting better, but we need to be patient.
Side note: glad you are well & still kicking. Hope you get a show, or two next year.

Get ready for a boring overpriced show with his guitar turned down and all solos slowed down. Have fun seeing him sing with his daughter.  His shows have not been good since the About Face tour in 84. Nothing to do with politics.

Edit: If the band decides to skip MSG it is because the sound sucks, not for any other reason. I thought they fixed it, but the sound was terrible in September.

That was on my mind when I visited this year, but I think they have the fans & local establishments (hi, Murph's) in mind when they make said decisions. I will say this: it gives me hope that they'll return to Orlando (even if our main arena is owned by the family that runs Amway lol)

Those people there were shitty. Dolan seems shitty and a weirdo. But its just a building.

Also, most venues that PJ need are probably owned by shitty people or shitty corporations.

I get that the political vibes are peak right now and everyone is nervous, but we need to keep a level head about this stuff. Again, its just a building.

At least with Roger you know you are getting backing tracks ahead of time. And the Wall show is better than what Dave will bring. The Wall would be a good Broadway show because that is what it is.

They should live in Europe for a year. Maybe two. And play here all year around. Distancing themsleves from MSG.

I read a good review of the LA show. Overpriced, yes. I enjoyed the show at Radio City in 2016. On the fence about seeing him at MSG but not because of last night lol. As someone mentioned, choosing venues based on those sorts of connections would probably mean they wouldn't be playing anywhere. Kind of like trying to tour without having to rely on Ticketmaster . . .

I was at that Radio City show. Out of the Blue? I think there were two nights. Boring and $250 a seat. 10 new songs and then a few Floyd favorites. No thanks. I get it that people want to see him. He is a legend. But he is a shell of his former self. He even sold the black strat. Sorry I do not want to be a downer, but it is what is.

I don't think they should stop playing places like MSG. Don't leave it to the bands to stop playing. Just stop attending all functions at venues you don't agree with if that's what you truly believe.

If we were to go down that path of logic, Wrigley Field would be on the same list due to the Ricketts family's involvement in fundraising/supporting Trump since 2016.

I don't disagree with your disappointment, but I doubt the reality of venue selection would be questioned by the band even under those circumstances.
As a life long Cubs fan it pains me to no end that the Ricketts family is up tr**p ass.

So, you're OK with a modern day Nazi-loving rally?

Tell me, what did you agree with most from last night:

that immigrants are stealing hurricane relief funds, or that Puerto Rico is a "garbage island"?

    Free speech is still free.

No one's going to jail for last night. But "free" doesn't mean free from consequences...

The band has skipped places for less.

It's a contender, but I'm not down with fascism.

Which is what last night was. Unfiltered, unfettered.

I don't agree with fascism. I would hope most don't. Last night, it stunk the place up.

Folks for the next 8 days I'm going to recommend everyone increase consumption of their favorite narcotic, fermented sugar water, or prescribed pharmaceutical
