I'm reaching out here as Bruce is coming to Vancouver in Nov. and we're looking to attend but not have to mortgage the farm to do so. Haven't seen Bruce since 1988 at the Tacoma Dome. I''m reaching out here as I've learned from the PJ fanbase to wait it out for late ticket drops etc. and it's definitely a strategy that's put us in many great seats at face value in the last decade or so.

Just wondering if anybody here has attended a show on this tour and if so has any input on the ticket market leading up to their event. I've been on TM some lately but I'm not even sure what face value was on the tickets or if this was a Verified fan event. Right now it's just verified resale stuff from $500.00 and then waaaay up from there in the lower bowl.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

We originally had side stage, 21 rows up which my friend accidently bought the premium tickets.  They were 375cad.  When the date get rescheduled, we upgrade to row 16 for 275 CAD, but then we managed to score pit tix at face (500CAD).

And yah.. usually coming up to show time, you've got TM dumping last minute tickets, an resellers trying to sell what they have left before the show starts.  I'd book mark the TM page and keep active tabs on it.

Thanks very much Zod, I really appreciate that. It really helps to know what the original  prices were. I've been checking on TM, it's just the pink resale tickets at this time so I'll bide my time. I gather people are able to set their own resale price unlike the last PJ shows?

They are, and the challenge is TM charges a crazy amount of fees to resell, so you need to mark up your ticket by 30% to get your $$ back :(  I like the Face Value ticket exchange a lot more than the reseller portal, just because the tickets don't need to be marked up for sellers to get their $$ back.  I suppose it's a minor problem though, most people are in it for profit, not because they couldn't go or they upgraded tickets.

Whoa I can’t believe pit tix were $500 face 🤯
Was gonna try to scoop one last min but they’ll be way outta my price range assuming I want to stay married.

We had bought them in steps, so it felt like a not so expensive upgrade.  We had already paid 375 for the side stage tickets, so $125 to upgrade a year later didn't seem so bad.

It also took all my brainpower to get them.   When the tour got postponed, people started getting refund on their tickets, and they started popping up on ticketmaster.   Except they were all locked by a code.  I figured out the TM forgot to turn off the verified fan thing from the original onsale, so the verified fan codes still worked.   My friend was the one who had a code, so his code worked for another 2 tickets which we used to upgrade to better side stage.  Then 2 days later I saw GA tickets pop up and they just stayed there.   Then I remembered my wife was the first human being I remember to come of a TM waitlist.  I was able to find her code, and grab 'em.

It seems like a bargain now.   We're going to visit friends in Houston and Metallica tickets in the lower stands were $$ (albeit in USD instead of CAD).   I kind of said no to Oasis because of prices, but I'm considering reversing that decision in case they implode again.  There lower bowl stadium seats were around $500 CAD.

Ticket prices be crazy, but at the same time, I'm like, how many more chances do I have to see these bands play live.   By the time I retire, there's not going to be much left that I want to go see.

I've followed the ticket action on TM this week as the Montreal show was Oct. 31. There was a ticket drop Oct. 30 mostly backstage for about $240.00. I'm not a pit guy and I'm kind of looking at this show as  get in the building and as close as possible and don't break the bank.

Did backstage at PJ Denver 2014 and quite enjoyed it, far better than the other end of the building or upper bowl. I certainly tried to upgrade but it wasn't in the cards.

Thanks again for the additional information Zod it's nice to know the rules of the game so to speak. fwiw my wife dug out a ticket stub from the October,1984 Springsteen show at the Pacific Coliseum. Row 41 on the floor was $19.50 plus $1.50 service charge. Fair to say that the current ticket prices have outstripped inflation by a wide margin. That said it's supply and demand, nobody is forcing a person to get the wallet out. Good point too about the diminishing chances to see many of these bands.
