    100%.

Fare you well, I love your music more than words can tell.

I'm not sure why we don't have a Dead thread.  I could go on about them for years.

I saw them a handful of times when I was in my mid-teens, late 80's to early 90's.  While I loved it of course, I didn't have the appreciation for what I was watching, when I watched it.  I was just a stupid kid getting wasted, trying to get laid and enjoying the traveling circus.  Wish I could do that all over again.

Was lucky enough to meet Phil at the Warfield in S.F. on my b-day. Still have his book he signed to me. RIP Phil.

I was lucky. I grew up near Hartford CT and the band came through at least once a year. We went to see the Dead every time they came through the East coast. From Maine to Virginia, we tried to get to every show, even sleeping in cars.

Play 4/18/82, my first show and Phil's earthquake space is legendary.

The same passion applies to Pearl Jam although I do not go to as many shows as I used to. I often say Ed replaced Jerry in my life. One virtuoso to another. RIP Phil.

Fare you well, fare you well
I love you more than words can tell

I remember the Box of Rain Breakout.........somewhere on tour. "Let Phil sing."  Not unlike let Stone sing. And the St. Stephen breakout in 83.

That was a great room. So underrated. Saw many shows there. Great Rush shows there.

I saw the Dead several times at Merriweather - when all the Deadheads used to camp out in the woods surrounding the venue. The last shows I saw in the early-mid 90s were at RFK stadium. While I was never a Deadhead I always had a good time at these shows.

Lots of nice words here from true fans.
A great player from an iconic band.
Thanks for all the great music, Phil Lesh.  R.I.P.
