Jason Kerepesi and Paul Ghiglieri discuss every aspect of Pearl Jam's music and the bands and communities they inspire.

    👉 In this episode:

Jason and Paul welcome graphic artist and former in-house art director for Pearl Jam, Brad Klausen, back to the show to discuss the expanded edition of his book From a Basement In Seattle: The Poster Art of Brad Klausen. It's always a treat to talk with Brad and this conversation was no exception...so much so it trickled over into Patreon.

I have the original and got this one the other day through Amazon; there's nothing physically wrong with it but I'm underwhelmed and will probably return it for a refund. I'm going to pull my original copy out of storage and compare to see if it's really worth it to me to keep the new copy.

With the release of a new book edition, join Brad Klausen at two upcoming events: tomorrow at Seattle’s Elliot Bay Bookstore and Nov. 21 at Los Angeles’s Book Soup.

Did you get it just to collect?  (Only a guess, since you referenced the original being in storage.)
A lot of extra stuff in this.
    Easily worth it for me.
I should have ordered directly from BK, ordered from 10c.

This is a nice book! I am glad I got this one. It is cool to see the concepts and some of the stories behind creating these. I have the 08 Batmobile poster hanging on my wall. It was my first poster from either the band or their solo tours. I enjoyed seeing what Brad did to make it and the reason why he chose the Batmobile!

I found a copy with the shipping cost included that was less than the Amazon price with free shipping, so I went ahead and picked it up.

I was out of town for the past week and came home to my Ten Club copy of this new edition today.  It appears that Jeff signed his foreword page.  Did anyone else
who preordered from 10C observe this?  My eyes are getting old, but from the best I can discern it looks like a real signature and not something printed.  I could be wrong, though.

^ I actually noticed the same thing with my pre-ordered copy. I was flipping through when I first got it and literally thought, that looks almost like a real signature...I just assumed it was wishful thinking, haha

Will be interesting to see if someone else with a 10c copy can post a photo of their Jeff sig to compare

Yeah, I don't have any other copy to reference/compare to.  When I look at the signature from different angles in the light, it certainly looks like a real signature (in contrast to Eddie's on the following page, which obviously is printed).  However, I can't say with certainty because I don't have any other copies to compare.

I will take a picture of mine when I get home, I will say from memory I think it looks the exact same as the one Songa posted
