Guitar websites question

Figure you guys would know - are there any sites that show types of guitars and what they sound like, what their characteristics are? Or even maybe types and sound clips of sample sounds from different kinds of guitars? I know next to nothing about guitar types, such as the difference between fenders, telecasters, stratocasters, gibson, etc. and have always wanted to learn more.

There are lots of different sites.
I'd look at http://www.gibson.com
and http://www.fender.com peruse the various alleyways of those sites and read up. You'll find out a lot.
Fender and Gibson own many other companies (and have links to those on their sites) so you might find most of the others from them as well.
