Smoke signals from a neighboring island

Or maybe dots and dashes tapped out on a Marconi machine?

some idea of mine that needs to be catapulted into an open canal

It needs to be released

Doors kept shut too long need to be unstuck

Junk drawers can’t hold everything forever

Boxes can’t keep piling up in a closet!

If I was a cartoon, I’d be drawn bent over a storage bin flinging objects over my shoulder

“Watch out for the projectiles!!”

rummage, rummage

I know it’s in here somewhere

Trying to find those miraculous days

There ARE miraculous days in a long life

I learned that from you

And I know this is true because I’ve had a few

And lately I’ve been thinking…

It’s a mistake to lose track of them, to forget about them

I’m trying to remember to keep the memory of them someplace where I won’t forget

Our better days, the very best days, must not be buried under the average days or it seems as if they never happened
