I'm sure all the band members thought about all the cross over and collaboration possibilities that could materialize during the weekend, before Neil bowed out of his slot. Maybe we could still have just a little sample of that magic?
I had been mentally hoping to manifest "I'm The Ocean", by the ocean. PJ, it would be such a treat if you could at least play that one, from Mirrorball.
A great companion would be "Walk With Me", a là Bridge 2010 both nights. Such a powerful song, and would surely conjure up some of Neil's spirit to join us, even if he doesn't this time. It was my favorite song of that year's Bridge School Benefit.
I'm sure you have plenty in store that we will be thrilled with, along with a few surprises (Neil Finn?, Glen?, Cat Power? Sting? collabs?), but those two songs would be special for everyone there, I think, not just myself.
If those aren't possible, Footsteps is always on my request list 😊 (yes, those are my signs).
I'm hoping the band is thinking in this vein, as well.
