Fenway merch trade for good cause
Tl;DR Hi y’all. I know you read a million of these requests, but I’m looking for someone to buy some Fenway merch for myself & my bestie “S” bc we unfortunately have to miss the show to be with her dad. We don’t have eBay $ but I’ll pay for the items AND throw in one of the items listed on below of your choice to sweeten the pot.
The Story (I know it’s long but bear with me) :We are lifelong best friends and Massholes & we’d let almost nothing stop us getting to a show (especially at Fenway!). we’ve have made it before through illness, weather, injury, travel drama, and in ‘23, we even got to a show shortly after the sudden unexpected death of S’s mom. Tonight’s show would be my 50th, and her 28th & we both feel so lucky to have seen so many amazing shows. In a terrible life’s-not-fair occurrence, her dad has now landed in ICU and we were told yesterday to come say our goodbyes as the odds of recovery are “only a miracle” status. Being best friends for over 30 years since age 11 means her family is like mine and vice versa. There’s a slim chance he may pull through but right now things don’t look great. I’m sad we may lose such an incredible guy but also devastated to watch S have to go through this again so soon, whatever the outcome, with her parents both only in their mid 70s.
She doesn’t know I’m asking this, and I can’t tell you how much this stuff will mean to her especially now. We luckily did make it to the shows in Vancouver earlier this year, but didn’t buy anything knowing we had Fenway coming up. But we can’t leave Dad’s side now, and he’s hospitalized a few hours from Fenway so we won’t be able to make it even to buy merch.
We have a flexible list of a few things we’d like & I can tell you more if you are willing to help us out. Best if it’s someone localish because we don’t know 100% when we’ll be back from Maine to do the exchange.
Anyway, I know it’s a long shot, but maybe a kind soul out there is willing to help out & either way maybe you’ll hold S & her Father in your thoughts. They are both incredible people. Thanks for reading.
