I'm sure that one will skyrocket in price over the last day of the auction, but right now it looks like a steal... pretty good shape, too.

This one has some awesome features:

    http://www.carvin.com/cgi-bin/Isearch.exe?CFG=2&P2=VL100&P1=GAL

Now, if they could just make it sound good...

    I was refering to:

    1. Variable impedance
    2. Switchable bias for EL34, 6L6, or 5881 tubes
    3. Power reduction switch (defeats two of four power tubes)

You have to admit... those are some nice features...

The orange AD-15 is great. I'd love to have them in stereo. Right now I'm looking for a speaker cab for mine.

Don't get the Carvin Legacy. I've heard about too many of them having serious reliability problems. Other Carvin stuff fine but not those amps

Very much so will but you'd do better with an AD 30 head and some form of 4x10 cab (with webbers JOY!) to match the bassman. Same preamp but 2 more EL 84's.

I wonder WHO would have a cabinet with 4 10" Weber speakers??? Who, indeed...

I am currently watching for a Sovtek Mig 50- or 60-watt head to power up my rig... it's a Sovtek copy of a Marshall JTM45, which (of course) is a copy of a Fender Bassman.

An AD30 head would sound great with my stack, too...

I was never implying that the Carvin amp was a good amp... I just said it had some enviable features. By no stretch of the imagination did I expect it to sound good...

That's a good amp, for sure... I would play on it. ;)

    I wonder if that's a single 12" or a dual-12" combo...

Hell, the funky looks are 80% of the reason to buy an Orange. I don't like Celestion speakers, but I still want an Orange 2x12" speaker cabinet...

    MMmmm....

I am the world's formost fan of 10" speakers for guitar. To me, 10" speakers are the only speakers worth playing through...

there are no specs, but I'm not sure if it's long enough for a 2x10....so it might just be a single 12....hmmm....what do you think?

After some further research, I found on the Orange site... it's 2 Celestion Vintage 30-watt 12" speakers. They must be set in there crooked...

    Yeah... you're gettin' demented... ;)

    Anyways, I would now place bets that it's a 2 x 12" combo...
