I know some people didn't like the predictability of the Dark Matter bloc at the spring shows, but those songs really flowed well together, as they do on the album. I feel like the scattershot sort-of blocs they've been doing at the recent shows would be less satisfying.

How am I wrong? It's a subjective statement. The implied conclusion to the sentence is less satisfying for me. Did you see any of the shows in the spring when they played the first four tracks from Dark Matter as a bloc?
Alone (scratched from N1) and Pendulum are both up to 49 performances. #50 for either is completely plausible.
In My Tree & Love Boat Captain are both primed at 99 performances. One more to #100 for these classics!

It didn't bother me that I knew which songs were coming for those four songs because they were all still basically brand-new and it was impossible (for me) not to be excited to hear them, especially since the Dark Matter songs were the number one thing I wanted to hear. And they sounded amazing.

I saw Portland and Sacramento. The same eight DM tracks in the same slots was too much. Still had fun but it was 1/3 of the show the exact same plus a number of the same hits at both as well. I'd much prefer switching it up like these west coast shows.

Always funny when the die-hard fans rely on the stat tracking app to determine the amount of times songs are played … only not to realize how many secret shows for huge corporations, etc have been played and not included in these very accurate landmark “numbers played” milestones.
