nice mig, nice. Fleming Era Masterbuilt for only $2,700 not bad.

Usa Customs over in Washington actually makes a similar body style for a lot cheaper.

    It's called the 51 STP. http://www.usacustomguitars.com/51stp.html
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

we can also agree on a hollow body Korina USA Hamer with P-90's.

  • The Hamer is nice, but I'd pass on the 51 STP. I like the Tele body, what can I say?

I've wanted a Strat to have around, just for position 4 (am I sounding like a broken record yet?) but I don't personally care for the body style. If I could find a more-affordable version of that Masterbuilt, that would be ideal for me. Tele body, strat neck, strat pickups, tele hardware...

Maybe a Nashville Tele with some mods.

I found a gold top nashville tele with 3 insanely hot pickups in it the other day. Nice and Fat LOUD too. It was used for something like 950 I think.

I wouldn't mind having a B bender around either but I'd love to have a Trussart rusty tele.

I'd be looking for a traditional Strat sound in a Tele body, so I'd probably get the Nashville, dump the stock pups, and put Fralins in instead.

These guys are my guitar techs:

    http://www.musiconeworkshop.com/

They do amazing B-bender and/or G-bender work. They do a LOT of Tele's, quite a few Strats, and I've seen them do Les Pauls and Gibson hollows. They've even done a Gibson J-200!

    Tell me 'bout it.

Seeing a Tele with BOTH a G-bender AND B-bender... very cool.

That set up is pretty sweet, you might actually like it. He's not kidding either that bridge pickup is HOT!

if you sell them, maybe 100 bucks on Ebay, they are worth between 50 and 70 bucks each though as a set it should be slightly more I would think maybe $120 if you find the right guy.

Well, I did some thinking and some surfing, and I've mapped it out...

Nashville Tele. Fralin '54s in the neck and middle. HD Super 90 in the bridge.

Maybe down the line get a Strat neck for it.

There are a few different companies making Nashville Tele pickguards for two Strat pups up front (as opposed to the Strat middle and Tele neck) so it would be really easy to just buy a new pickguard and new pups and wire it up. Besides, the Nashville comes with Tex-Mex pups in all three positions, so I could easily sell those for $50-60 apiece on eBay.

I just wish I could get it in a vintage Strat color... seafoam green, coral pink, arctic white...
