US Leg II 2024

This is only my opinion but I see a lot of negativity on what looks like on paper (and in person for two shows) the best album tour in a long time. The album live is amazing, I listen to them constantly and felt so lucky to hear all but two tracks at Wrigley. I didn’t mind the repeats because what will become of Wreckage, Scared of Fear, Upper Hand, Dark Matter and Waiting for Stevie after this tour? We get one (two if we’re lucky) in the next round and then none? And that’s their prerogative, but relish these songs, it’s their best record since self titled and with time might hold up better and sit alongside the first five (or six depending on your allegiance to Binaural). I’ve been lucky and seen every tour from
Yield and on and seen songs I never thought I’d not hear (Hail Hail, Not For You, Fixer, and Mind Your Manners) and now those are rare and so the beat marches on. I love this band and owe it so much, just my olive branch to look at it from a we’re lucky perspective. Are there songs I don’t want to hear? Sure, but man I’m there and I’ve been told that me at Pearl Jam concert is the happiest most people see me. I’m free snd just love being around all of you. It’s my happy place.

    Very good point:

  • Amen, dude. The negative I see sometimes is wild. I’m fortunate enough to have seen 3 shows this tour, including both MSG shows, and they have been outstanding.

    Stoked for Fenway shows, too!

    thanks for spreading positivity.

Everytime I see a setlist I compare it to what I “missed” but then go back and am like - Garden to open was sick and I never in a million years would’ve thought that was amazing. And followed by Porch! Sick. I hadn’t hear In Hiding in 15 years and it was followed by Upper Hand…just perspective. I would’ve killed for that MSG night 2 with Leash and Gimme Some Truth but not in the cards where I am in life and for those that loved it awesome. Enjoy Fenway, I love watching the setlist threads. Usually positive and fun. But yeah, this is a positive band doing good things and bringing us great live music, let’s do the same. Except the music, no one needs to hear me sing or play.

It's been a special run for sure and I agree with everything said here. The band sounds great, the crowds are happy and singing their hearts out and not that it matters really for the indoor shows, but the weather has been spectacular (I am doing Chicago through Ohana).  Philly is going to bring the madness tonight!  Can't wait!

100% agree! I’m sure there’s plenty around here that may have complained about No Code through Riot Act heavy set lists and now would give anything to hear some of those gems live. DM is phenomenal and I think many will look back and be thankful that they were able to check them off the list.
