Please get this message to EV and the band.

I know this is a long shot, but I am posting here to see if I can get the below message to EV and the band. If someone can please get this to them, I would be eternally grateful.

Dear Eddie Vedder/Pearl jam,

My name is Jesse Weiner. My 13 year old son Adam and I are diehard Pearl Jam fanatics. We will be attending the shows at MSG on September 3rd and 4th.  These shows will be my sixth and seventh, and Adam’s second and third times experiencing Pearl Jam live.

Adam and I are going through an especially tough time; we recently lost my wife/Adam’s mom, Joanne, to cancer just three weeks ago—she fell ill this past May. Joanne was a nurse practitioner at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and helped many patients and their families through the most difficult times in their lives.

Throughout Joanne’s brief illness, Pearl Jam’s music, has been our main solace, especially the song “Just Breathe,” The lyrics “Nothing you would take, everything you gave” resonate deeply as Joanne lived a life of giving without expecting anything in return. We played “Just Breathe” at her funeral on August 21, and it brought everyone to tears, capturing her essence perfectly.

Adam, who is 13 year old boy with autism, has also faced significant challenges prior to his mom falling ill, including severe bullying that led us to change his school. Through all of this, your music has been a pillar of strength, helping us find some peace during these incredibly difficult times.

A shoutout to Adam mentioning his mom before playing just breathe either night at the garden would be an extraordinary moment of joy for Adam during this dark time, reinforcing the strength that your music has continuously provided us. We are immensely grateful for the connection your songs have brought to our lives.

Thank you for considering and for the impact your music has had on us.

Warm regards,

Jesse Weiner

I was there last night - saw them shine a light on your section and the fans acknowledging you and your son.  Condolences going out to you, your son, family and friends.  Your wife sounded like an amazing and giving person.  This band is special, as fans we are blessed, every show I’ve attended the band makes a special point during each show to connect on a real human and empathetic way with the fan base.  Well done Eddie and mates!

What an amazing and special moment.  Condolences to you Jesse, Adam, and your family.  Joanne sounded like a kind, caring, and beautiful soul.  God bless you and your family and may you have strength through these tough times.

I wasn't at the show, but I wanted to try and find a video of the speech.
On YouTube I did find a clip of the beginning of the speech, but the video cuts off in the middle of it.
Does anyone have the full video of this speech that they can share?

Here's the video that I found that contains the beginning part of the speech:  https://youtu.be/lPyN7Eqmwmk

My wife and I were at this show.  As parents of a 13 year old daughter with special needs, your story and the band taking the time to recognize the both of you, brought us to tears.

Parenting is hard under and circumstances.   Parenting a child with special needs requires a level of patience that most people will never understand.  Supporting our children and their needs is something we will always do, not because of the love we have for them but the love we get from them.  It’s dealing with the way others treat our children that is often the real battle.

I hope you are remaining strong and know that there is a community pulling for you both.  I am deeply sorry for your loss.  We wish you and Adam all the best.

Jesse - I am so happy for you and your son that you got to experience this a few weeks ago. I am deeply sorry for yours and Adam's loss.

I read this just now and was choked up because I was at the garden and heard this story as it was being told.

What an amazing moment and a great gesture from the band.

I went ahead and made a donation to the American Cancer Society on your behalf.

Tell Adam that he's the coolest and we all have his back.

    All the best,

    John
