Fan Medical Emergency Wrigley 8/29

Last night, during Even Flow, my brother lost consciousness for nearly a minute what doctors believe was either a seizure or neurological syncope. For those of you seated near us in section 6, it was a tense and frightening time. Thankfully, after an ambulance ride and five hours in the ER, doctors released him.

Looking back, we were incredibly fortunate that we were seated in Ten Club area at a Pearl Jam show. A gentleman from a few rows up happened to be EMT/fire personnel  was the first to help and was amazing. Others seated nearby alerted stadium staff and within minutes EMS and security were on scene administering care and stabilizing him for transport. I’ll never know the names of everyone who acted quickly to assist, helped find his belongings in the dark, or wished us well as we left the stands, but you have my deep, heart-felt Thank You.

Enjoy the show on Saturday and keep looking out for one another ✊

    So glad he's okay!

I have several family members with epilepsy and/or syncope-related issues.  I can't imagine how scary that was in that kind of setting...

Got to say, love the glowing wands security had last night!  Not sure I've seen those before.  And duh, what a brilliant way to direct assistance to where they are needed.  What we were doing before?  Just shouting?

Thanks for posting.  Take care and be well.
