What do you need:
Electric guitar
Amp
Violin bow :-)
distrotion/gain/overdrive
delay pedal ( optional but much fun !! )
To start, go in Lead mode ( distrotion, gain or overdrive )
Just move/slide the violin bow over the first Fat strings E A D once you've got the feeling .... after a while you could start wacking the bow all over your guitar ..... just try it and wail ahead, if you got an delay pedal use it its f*ckin amazing !!!

oh, and try putting your delay in front of your distortions. mike used to do this. you get a really chunky delay sound.
umm. how about this. look for some sort of line out on your amp. grab a smaller/older/crappier amp and plug the cord from the line out to the input. mess around with clean and distortion settings on the smaller/older/crappier amp. you will get some pretty odd yet brilliant tones.
