A story of new found love of pj and a rekindling of the entire experience…
taking your little one(s) to their first pj show, sharing that energy, that love, that experience with new eyes and ears.. since she was born she had been listening to Pearl Jam.. the lullabies damn near every night as she drifts off around the bend…
I remember playing with her as an infant with unplugged on the tv… driving around in the jeep on desert trails with the driving sounds of rvm, why go, go, animal…
when she could finally figure out her favorite songs she would ask for present tense and smile (don’t it make you smile)…
now she’s 8 and in the afterglow of her first major concert, Taylor swift, pj releases their most powerful album of recent times, dark matter, and she fell in love with it, Matt’s drumming driving us through dark matter and Jeff’s wicked baseline on running.. the show stopping riffs of Mike and stone on upper hand and scare of fear… eddie’s lyrical flow throughout the album tying it all together..
she’s hooked…
something special brings tears to my eyes every damn time..
“so this is what it’s like to be an adult… if only he had known now what he knew then… “
I haven’t been this excited for a pj show since I don’t know when… to share it with her from fieldM row4… such a fucking gift!
see you all at wrigley night 2 for “something special”
Feel free 2 feel free

Son I'm guessing was 12-13.
He knew every word to every song.
Towards the end of the show, I tapped him on the shoulder and gave him a high 5.
The youngster had a big grin on his face, and almost ripped my arm off.
It was great
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
