i mean this solo tour is gonna be pretty political ,,

do u think the band said "we dont want no part of this extensive political crap".... "go do a few shows on your own and get most of it outta your system " ??

im not making a joke thread

i know the band has made songs and are backing people in the race ,but can it be?

Regardless, I think he'll make at least a bit of a political reference at some point during the tour.

Maybe people should start guessing at which show and between which songs this will first happen. ;)

Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    Really.

The fact that Ed has a solo album out couldn't have anything to do with Ed doing a solo tour.
Nope must be cause the band doesn't want to get involved in politics, as we've seen in the past as well as quite recently, the other band members have no interest in political causes.
    This weekend we rock Portland

no i dont think they said this as i believe they have a far better vocabulary than that.. also i believe all members are very political.. especially Boom... he tied his beard to a nuclear missile once.

yes their will be some nonsense during pearl jam shows

but maybe the band is tired of wasting 2- 3 songs during a show on talk?
especially since they never get the mic

Rock around Barack is proof that the band doesn't seem to mind supporting a candidate.

Perhaps Eddie has given up on the political talk and the Band forced him into a solo gig as punishment. lol.

yeah its called a joke ;)

    watch for the twist :p

me: especially Boom... he tied his beard to a nuclear missile once.
    you: and it exploded
    me: beards can't explode.

you used 'it' instead of 'the missile' giving me the opportunity to do a small joke.. thank you.. i'll be here all week.

The band doesnt tell Ed anything.. they discuss things... except Boom... his beard just explodes in varying levels of agreeance.. smal explosion means yes... big explosion means no... slight smoking means he's undecided

    pure fact.. all of that

right i know they made the song ,,but maybe they want to keep their beliefs out of the actual shows?

eddie is gonna talk regardless and thats his right

but when he goes on his rants (especially during an election) its a waste of 2-3 songs

if u reread the 1st post ,i mention they make songs ,,,

im just asking if the band maybe wants ed to get as much political crap out of his system as possible

that way when they do their little tour it can be more pleasant for us that dont agree with every word he says
