Tickets for both nights in sections 110, 111, and 125 just dropped for the not-very-PJ-premium price of $230. They just unlocked the entire section.
Happened yesterday. Advising everyone to hold off. They'll drop to Standard the day before & the day-of.
Just sucks because they could've gone to 10Clubbers.

All these tickets could’ve gone to ten club members who, like me, missed out on a night (or both) What happened to this band? I mean, I still love them, but the whole thing just seems shitty.
Yup my ticket buddy has been a ten club member since 03 and missed on both nights. Suddenly there is extra tickets now though....
They fell off a truck.

You really have to put the complaining aside and figure out how to make these systems work for you. With the exception of special circumstances like Ten Club tickets I do not buy in advance for any show bigger than a theater. I've had much better luck buying the day before or day of in terms of bang for your buck. Maybe 5-10% of the time you wind up paying more than if you bought at the initial onsale but on balance you come out way ahead.
The absolute, unquestionable, etch it in stone worst thing you can do is buy platinum priced tickets unless they're the ones that sunk in cost on show day.

It’s a damn shame but I blame the band they signed off on this absolute horrendous policy!
Remember when people said the artists had no control? Robert Smith blew that assumption up.
Kind of but not really at all. I guess an artist could play for however much they want to; if they want they could play at a loss, Hell Minor Threat lost money on every single first press of out of step sold. There is a lot of information we will never know of the costs a band has for touring. What the Cure did was great they clearly wanted to do a big tour Us tour, because they dont often do that and keep the prices reasonable, which is easier with more shows close together, which makes sense if you are from abroad. That is how they chose to do it, if you dont want to be on the road and play shows close to every day and do less shows you still have a lot of the same costs still so tickets are going to be higher. I know it is fun to compare how bands operate to other bands but it isnt really fair to the bands because they are made up of completely different people all in different situations.
If you just want to be upset that is cool but there are always dops for all venues usually closer to show dates, this is nothing new at all.
No these drops are BS and not stage set up related. They were held on in hopes all the platinum sold and suddenly a “sold out” show now had a drop at $1k+.
Not a fan of this practice. Those 2 sections wren’t available to 10club or any other TM sales. They were held on to for maximum profit 👎👎
They were held as part of whatever "friends and family" programs were going on within the Pearl Jam/Wrigley/Livenation organizations. <- all of these people were given "x" amount of tickets they could comp to people, and all of those tickets happened to be in the the sections that are released later, like this situation now, to people on ticketing websites, not only Ticketmaster, but Stubhub as well. This works well for sold out shows, as any number can be put on these tickets for a very demanding show.
Eddie used to polish the chairs before each gig and shine our shoes after. What happened to this band
