i mean i thought sitars looked really different than this.. and does Ed play this in a lot of PJ songs??

    It's not a true sitar.

    It's actually a guitar with sympathetic drone strings, to simulate the sitar sound.
    My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    Ah thanks for clearing up what the SVT mystery "guitar" was... I was watching and wondering just yesterday... all of a sudden I recognised the headstock in the Guitargeek link.

    And I head never heard of sympathetic drone strings. Another learning moment. :)
