More new music today, this time from Nando Reis, one of the most popular and beloved songwriters in all of Brazil. This is the album, "Uma Estrela Misteriosa" (A Mysterious Star), a giant quadruple LP album of 30 songs that I produced and played drums on between Sao Paulo and Seattle over the last 2 years. Jack Endino mixed the entire thing and it's definitely Nando's Magnum Opus, and definitely the biggest album any of us have ever worked on. It also features guest performances by Seattle luminaries such as Matt Cameron, Duff McKagan, Mike McCready, and Krist Novoselic, as well as horn section masters Skerik and Dave Carter and R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, who played on almost every song. Because it's such a massive album, the label is rolling it out as album sides, with one side released every week (about 5 songs per week). I'll post again when the different songs from the Seattle guys are released. So prepare yourselves, as this is a massive album to digest. Thank you for listening! Barrett
