hope against hope , I guess.

So this show would have been my buddy Rob's first PJ show last year. Alas , postponed. We were looking forward to this year especially with the new album dropping.

A little history. Rob struggled with drugs and alcohol for the majority of his life. Me as well. I found help in 2006. He found it FINALLY in 2019 at 51 yrs old. It was my privilege and honor to be his sponsor in AA. April 13 of this year with just shy of 4 yrs 5 months clean and sober, he had an old familiar thought, followed it then acted on it. Crack Cocaine mixed with Fentanyl. His use this ONE TIME  resulted in his death. Heartbroken isnt the word , which is compounded by the fact that a petty disagreement led to a bit of a falling out of sorts  about 7 weeks prior to his death. So heres the request.

Ed's solo song after intermission. Could it be Comes Then Goes? Hasn't been played yet live. Lyrically speaks loudly to me and where I'm at right now. Fits a couple ways. 1st we WERE to see them on that Gigaton tour. Second it could be one for "the serious collector" . Third to hear it and then have access to it through download or cd purchase , wopuld go a long way I think to help me and others as we walk through the grief process. Columbus 2010 did the same for me as I had recently gotten divorced and Ed changing the Black tag to "we didnt belong together" as well as the up and down emotional roller coaster that was that show's setlist helped immensely.

So there it is.

Ed, if you could be so kind as to play Comes Then Goes at Noblesville and dedicate it to Rob O. I would be most grateful.

Sorry for your loss.  Hope they can play your song.

I have had not a great 12-14 months.  Lost my brother (51) last year and they did play my song request at St Paul 2 and it was an amazing moment with my daughter and I.  Lost my dad (76) last month unexpectedly as well.  Their music is extremely helpful for me.  I hope it is for you as well.
