Do The Evolution video in the show

In Barcelona night 1 during DTE they played the official video in the screen behind the stage. But in night 2 and Lisbon they played a different video, pretty similar in drawing and animation style and in the themes portrayed. It looked almost like a first draft of the official video. Does anyone know what it is?

Eddie made a video using the Spawn series. I wonder if it's the same one

IMHO, it was the highlight of night 1 in Barcelona. The video was cut perfectly to the song.

I seem to recall pj playing this video in the background when I saw them in Barrie 98. Was right around the time the video came out. I’d say they brought it back for 2 reasons. The first obvious answer is that the new screen needed to be used for tracks other than the DM songs. Secondly the song just rocks live and the band really enjoys playing it.

They played the other video during the first U.S. leg of the tour as well

DTE making an appearance at almost every show is definitely one of the more interesting details of the DM tour.  Great song, but they played it a lot from 2018-2022.  It’s also hard on Ed’s voice, which became an issue late it seems.

I think I’ve heard it now at my last 5 concerts if I’m not mistaken.

What is interesting? I think its the most played song relative to release year they have, more played than both alive and evenflow if I recall. If im wrong on thst atleast its top3

Yeah not counting new songs for this tour, Do the Evolution is tied for their second-most frequently played song behind only Even Flow. Since it's release (per the PJ stat tracker), Even Flow has been played at 90% of the shows. Do The Evolution and Alive are tied for second at 83%. Corduroy is 4th at 80%. And Given To Fly is 5th at 76%.

Seen DTE 16 out of 18 shows. The only times missed have been on back-to-back nights where it was played the other show. I like seeing it live but would much prefer if they rotated it with the likes of Hail Hail, WWS etc.

I asked Rob Sheridan about the alt video on Instagram because they played it in Sacramento as well. He declined to state the reasoning for the alternate video and said he would let Ed explain that at some point.
