Is it easy to have a tremelo installed on a standard US Tele? And if so, which ones do you recommend. Does it have any effect on the guitar hardware or body, because of the altering?

Thanks

bigsby is really your only option. it needs to be a top mounted system b/c the body's not routed for anything else.

you're looking at a new bridge and holes drilled into the top of the guitar.

check the pics of stone's tele from SVT.
  • Okay, so it's not your every day operation. Thanks Ex.

Yeah, Bigsby... they not only work well, but they look cool. But it isn't just a couple screws, it takes some work. So if you aren't comfortable with it, have it installed by someone who knows.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

    this gives me an idea...

A bigsby would be a nice addition to my tele... although I suppose it might lose some of its characteristic sound...

It would be a nice option... and look nice too.

    Pricing investigation.
