Husband and I celebrate our thirtieth anniversary today. Our hopes for a milestone celebration/vacation/etc. were scrapped due to work obligations and a pesky cancer diagnosis. So I've been trying to come up with a 30th-themed way to observe the occasion. I've been stumped -- the traditional gift is pearls, and neither of us is the pearl jewelry type -- or the oyster type :ick:.
Finally, today, it hit me. Pearl. (We're under a lot of stress right now). It's the pearl anniversary.
So I'd like to thank the band for the spring leg of the North American tour. We made the time to go to seven shows, despite all the everything that is happening in our lives, and while we were tired, we were so happy to be able to make it to so many great concerts. You guys made an otherwise unbelievably craptastic year memorable in a good way. Thank you!
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
