Pearl Jam: Live at the Sydney Opera House

Hey everyone, my name is Leigh, 10C member posting from Australia and for the longest time I’ve had this wild idea… a Pearl Jam concert at the Sydney Opera House. 

I can’t shake the thought, so I’ve decided to do something about it. But I need some help from my fellow fans and the international Pearl Jam family. I’ve launched an online petition in the hope that we can create something truly historic: Pearl Jam Live at the Sydney Opera House.

Why entertain this crazy idea? To me this is not just about another concert. It’s about celebrating - and adding to - the history of a legendary band. In front of our very eyes Pearl Jam have reached icon status. 

In that sense, the Sydney Opera House is the only venue we have that’s truly worthy of them. Both are iconic. Bringing them together for just one night seems a fitting addition to the legacy of an iconic band. 

They’ll already be in town this November, Sydney is the last stop on the tour, and I figure that stranger things have happened…

It’ll take just a moment to sign the petition, and even if you couldn’t attend a show at the Opera House, think of the bootleg… do it for the bootleg 🤯

Sydney Opera House is a beautiful sounding venue, it would be awesome if PJ played there. The only downside is that it would be seated, but the sound quality more than makes up for that.

I saw 2 of Ed’s solo shows there a few years back and they were unbelievable.

Are you talking about inside the actual Opera house or on the steps? Downside to inside there would not be enough tickets to go round & all the whinging that would occur on social media. PJ inside the Opera house Benaroya kind of show would be great but I very much doubt it would happen. Their touring is very selective these days
