Wrigley Tickets Resale and Fan to Fan Exchange

So I have read the "rules" about the fan to fan exchange and trying to sell tickets. I can't seem to get a clear answer on this. After I read the details there is always an asterisk and it says that laws in Illinois and New York prevent an artist from preventing resale or transfer,,,,, yet I still don't have the option.

I have two tickets I bought through the Ten Club that I know I cannot use. I cannot be in Chicago on that date. Does anyone know when I can sell these tickets and how? I would hate to see them go to waste.

I can’t answer your question but if you have tix for Sat’s show, I’m looking for 2 tix.

I have 2 tickets to both Wrigley shows that I’m not going to be able to make. Went on Ticketmaster today and my tickets say NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RESALE. Are there not any options or way to sell these?

Chicago tickets are supposed to be transferable meaning you can sell on stub hub or privately or whatever.  Problem is TM has not lit up the transfer button (which might be illegal) and I have been told transfer will only be active the week of the show when the tickets are delivered in the MLB app.  I do not think this is fair or right but it’s the status until it isn’t.

Any new update on this? Do we have a date as to when we can transfer tickets?

I thought it was against IL law to prohibit transfers. This needs to be unlocked like yesterday blatant defiance of the law going on here

The longer they hold out on lighting up that transfer button, the longer they have to sell "premium" seats on their site. It's sucks but it's kind of the way it looks like this scenario is going to shake out.

Can't quite remember if the Wrigley shows are solely using the MLB Ballpark app (as the venue does for all ticketing) or if TM will be providing ticket distribution when the time comes. Wrigley uses a different ticketing platform (tickets.com) for all other events, so it's a bit muddy what the relationship is between TM, Tickets.com and Wrigley Field.

Best bets are that you can technically sell or transfer under Illinois laws, but the artist (or TM) likely have put a pause on delivery of tickets until the week of the shows. So in essence, you can make an agreement with a fan to sell/transfer, but handing them over will be much closer to the show date. Ticketmaster will likely not facilitate a Fan to Fan exchange option.

Only other solution that i came up with is if anybody wanted to sell their tickets now is to give the buyer access to your TM. There is protection for the Seller that keeps the buyer from changing your email, password, and phone number on file ,thus losing your login credentials and access to your TM account . The protection is  with an Authenticator page that sends a code to the sellers email or a text to sellers phone when updating the phone number and/or email and password.
It involves serious trust and honesty between both parties if wanting to sell before F2F exchange opens up .
I got one ticket to Wrigley 1 and one ticket Wrigley 2 I want to sell now if I can and this is the only way it can work  as of now

I think I read in another thread that tickets are already transferable in the MLB app. Perhaps try there?

Not sure that’ll work for 10C tix. They are only available in TM app I think.

I would just like to reiterate I am ISO a pair of N2 tix if anyone can figure out how to sell.

My tickets are transferable in the ballpark app. Curious why the TM app is not as well.

TM hasn’t allowed transfer & resale yet because they are probably sitting on a couple thousand tickets per show that they are trying to scalp (PJ Premium). By only showing a hundred or two at a time, it drives demand and desperate people will cave and spend the money. When they allow transfer and resale, their hopes of scalping these tix that they are sitting in, will diminish.

The ballpark app will allow us to transfer to a specific person?

That is my understanding, yes.  For Wrigley.  Not Fenway.

I predict a seamless transition from TM to MLB, with no bumps, headaches, or concerns along the way.

Interesting how TM can hold tickets hostage in efforts to push their premium ones. I believe I saw somewhere they were playing it on the venue as the reason the transfer option hadn’t been activated.
