Request for message of support at SEA N1
A close friend of mine is bringing her nephew (15) to the show tonight to try and take his mind off current events. Two weeks ago, this nephew’s older brother (18) went into the hospital for a routine procedure and something went wrong; he still hasn’t woken up.
Her nephew going to the show tonight turns 16 in 2 days, and as anyone would imagine, this is just an immeasurably difficult time for him.
This is his first time seeing Pearl Jam, and though the idea is to take his mind off things, we also think it would be so incredibly powerful for him to hear some words of encouragement and to feel love/support from an arena full of people-powerful enough to justify puncturing the escapist bubble for a few moments.
If mods or anyone associated with the band wants to reach out for more detail, I (and the young man and his aunt) would be so so grateful. I can’t imagine being 15-going-on-16 and dealing with what he’s dealing with.
