From the short clip someone sent me earlier, it looked like they did not have the screen set up behind the stage as they did at the "regular" shows. There were video screens showing closeups of the band on either side of the stage. Can anyone confirm that they did not have the visuals?
This is all I’ve seen so far as it comes to a video screen behind them. Don’t know if the regular tour visuals were on display, though.

Lukin, favourite song opener of the tour!

Bring back Setting Sun though, please.  Hopefully just the festival show and it’ll be right back in Sea.

Was holding my breath that they didn’t for some reason play Indifference.  Too many times has that song eluded me by being played the night before or night after.  That sets the table up for it to at least have a chance in Seattle, but it hasn’t been played yet this tour so fingers crossed!

Although I’m not going to the two shows, I’m hoping that Vs gets a good showing in Seattle…Indifference, Animal, and Dissident all deserve tour debuts there while Go and RVM deserve more love. I’d add in Blood, GG, and WMA but I’d be (pleasantly) surprised if any of those get played.

Edit: I didn’t mention Rats … got played in Seattle in 2018 so I think it’s doubtful.

Love that they opened with Lukin but wow…talk about a greatest hits setlist. Jesus. All they’re missing is Jeremy and Betterman and it would complete a set I would rather not go see.

I hate to be like vito, but from the setlist alone this feels not like another Pemberton or Telluride. Napa Valley is close in terms of natural beauty, so I hope it inspired the band a bit.

They had all the visuals. Three separate screens: one directly behind the band plus one on either side of the stage. They just stitched them all together when they needed to.

Pretty standard festival greatest hits show.

Wish they would incorporate faster starts more often, spread some slow ones out throughout the set.  That would be a nice thing for the real tour.

The Bears jersey appeared for the first time late in the show in Las Vegas on night two. He hasn't taken it off since. I wonder if someone gave it to him during the Vegas show. Otherwise, isn't it weird that it was unseen for 5.75 shows and then a staple for 2.75 shows and counting?
It was his uncles who passed away 10 years ago last Wednesday.
Did he reveal that somewhere? When he talked about it during "Long Road" on Wednesday, I don't remember him mentioning the jersey, which had first appeared late the previous night.
He’s worn the same jersey on other tours. It’s for his uncle who passed away.

Yeah, I live in Bay Area but glad my two shows this tour were the two Vegas shows (despite disturbing repeats of "Porch" and "LB") rather than Sac and Napa!

Yeah it was fantastic. Utter perfection, though if you’re gonna bring out the USC marching band, cover Tusk!

I don't know how many times Eddie intro'ed Small Town at the Bridge School Benefit by saying it was "written over the hill there" so it's cool to see he mentioned that it was performed closest to where it was written.

Just on paper alone, this seemed like a typical Bay Area show. Paying tribute to their longtime Bridge School friend with Last Kiss. Paying tribute to Neil with RITFW. And for some reason, they really like playing Crazy Mary in the Bay Area.

I don't think there was as much overlap between these two audiences as there would be at a typical pair of shows so close together geographically. The audience in Sacramento was only people there to see Pearl Jam (and a few close friends of Deep Sea Diver). The audience in Napa was some people there to see Pearl Jam, (possibly more) people there to see Mana, people there to see My Morning Jacket, people there to see other bands, locals who just attend that festival regardless of who's playing (e.g., my cousin who lives in the city of Napa), and people who are there for the wine or for something to do outside for a day.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

Yeah it was a greatest hits show and some new album stuff, but it never gets old.  I, on the other hand, might be aging- in a world of hurt today after staking out a spot in row 12 or so for at least 3 hours before they played.

Shout out to the lead singer of Mana (the prior act) - never heard of them or him before but they clearly have their following and he was an excellent frontman.  Their set was actually quite enjoyable which is rare for me when it’s music I’ve never heard before.

Mana (Mah-nah) is like the Latin Pearl Jam. Or at the very least, the Latin Foo Fighters. Been around for YEARS.

Looks like KT tape (aside from the line running up it....)
Definitely KT tape... Looks like his lateral epicondylitis is bothering him, after all. Explains him not playing guitar quite as much this tour.
