Vegas Dice and Cards

Vegas is over unfortunately and I’ve got a long wait until Chicago. I was trying to think of a cool way to display the cards and dice I was lucky enough to snag. I’m currently thinking a shadowbox lined with green felt (think Casino table) and then putting the dice in some kind of case on each side of the deck of cards. I’d prefer to keep the dice in its original packaging but I’m not really a big fan of the way it has a hole at the top like it was bought at the register of a retail store.

Does anyone have any other ideas with what they plan to do?

Um, play card games with them as intended.

    Solitaire
    War
    Kings corner
    Slap jack
    Cribbage
    Deal some blackjack
    Hold em

    Shadow box........ seriously?

    Sorry couldn't help myself

  • Yeah I guess I should have expected a response like that. I’m nowhere near having a huge collection of pj memorabilia. But of the things I have, posters are on the wall, shirts get worn, records get played, etc.

I honestly just don’t see the point of playing cards with these. I don’t imagine many people are going home from the LA shows and dribbling on the concrete with their $75 basketball. I have normal cards to play with if I want, I’d rather have this as a keepsake of a great weekend.

Cool idea. If you have a picture from show or poster, frame some of them with it. Maybe on top of the matt.  If you have pj funkos, mini table, tiny chairs and cards/dice. Maybe put the dice in a Las Vegas shot glass. Place cards under glass on table. Serving tray with glass over it. Put cards/ stickers in there.

Knee deep in my coffee buzz...
Enjoy and mix it up a bit.

I like the idea of putting the cards under glass on a table. Thanks! I’m running out of wall space in our small basement and my wife is only willing to let me use that as a shrine to the band at this point haha

i was just being a smart a....., sorry for that.

I have a basketball from last tour that now has a trucker hat from this tour sitting on top of it hanging next to my 20+ posters on the wall, so i'm with you.  My wife actually shadow boxed a bunch of our ticket stubs from the past and GA bracelets together.   looks pretty good.

We also got a set of cards and dice from vegas and we prob wont play with them. (guy in front of us bought 10 of each, dick right)

What i do use is:  i wear the many shirts i have accumulated all the time (i wear 10c shirts to the gym everytime), we use drink coasters from wrigley in the living room daily, we use coozy's in the boat all summer.  if i do land a duffle someday it will be my new gym bag.

I bet the merch sellers got tired of saying "Sorry, no dice" when customers asked for them after they sold out.

All good, I didn’t take any offense to the comment, and I was kind of thinking the same thing as I was asking it. I have the same thing going on with the basketball from last year though, but with an older hat (and about 12 pins on the hat) haha. I wanted the duffel bag last year but missed out. Had a chance for the new one in Vegas but decided to spend that $ at the roulette tables.

Looks like we have been to many of the same shows judging by your posters.  I'm assuming your from the Midwest as I am.
I Did hit both Vegas shows last week.  Thought both shows were excellent.  I was likey in line right behind you at main entrance merch.  They ran out of duffles a few people ahead of me.

Yup from outside of Chicago. Being a regular stop for the band and somewhat central to other places is about the only thing I like about the town. Vegas was a great time though, I’ve come to enjoy traveling to see them much more than at home. I’m doing both Wrigley shows and then Philly which I’m really psyched for.

Thanks! They’re always a little crooked since the kids are always hanging out in the basement.
