    i remember back when Sonic Youth's gear got stolen...it's unfortunate that there are assholes out there that do such things.

    I had guitars stolen here and there over the years, and a couple of amps,,,and I think I forgot more stuff backstage than I ever bought,,, but

    That REALLY hurts!

    You just can't run down to the music store and pick that up for the next gig either!
    I hope they had a back up for all the stuff that was on the laptop, too!

    I just read that they got their gear back! After 6 years! Some mystery fan supposedly called them and told them it was someone from his family who had stolen the gear and he made sure they got everything back. Or something like that.
