Ohana Fest Double Tree

Someone must have canceled a reservation, and we got a room at Double Tree in Dana Point for Ohana Fest. Is it an easy to walk to festival from there? I see we have to cross a highway. Is there a bridge? Any tips for restaurants, things to do near hotel in addition to the festival? Has anyone stayed here and was it a good stay? Thanks for any tips/advice. We have been saving up for this and want to make the best of it.

We enjoyed our stay there in 2021 when PJ played.  It’s a very easy walk.  Going off memory there’s a crosswalk right outside the hotel to get to the other side of the road. There weren’t a lot of cars where you cross.  We had time to buy our merch in the morning and take it back to our room before the festival.

Our favorite spots in Dana Point were Maison Cafe for brunch, Stacks Pancake House, Salt Creek Beach Park, Doheny State Beach and Dana Point Arches (Bluff Top Trail).

We stayed their in '21 and are staying there again this year.

Keep your eye for performers, we saw Margo Price and band in '21 and got to say hello. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the festival site. We went to the beach each morning and very much enjoyed hearing the sound checks happening before the the gates opened.

The hotel itself is a bit dated but the location is amazing. Have fun!

We stayed there in ‘21 as well and it’s perfect for Ohana. We had dinner at the Doheny cafe one evening and it was good.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
