first time on eBay

so I'm gonna try and put the strat on eBay. It's my first time. I'd like to get 650 euros for it. So how do I do this? eBay recommends to start with a low starting bid and no reserve, so people will more eager to bid and think they've got a steal and the price might go higher than the one I'm aiming at. But I don't want to run the risk of having to sell a mint USA strat for only 500 or less euros.
Tips from experienced users? How do you guys work it?

I know, that's the reserve option. That's just what I mean, I don't know if I wanna risk the strat going for a price that's too low instead.
I've never sold a guitar on eBay, or much of anything else, just an iPod and a Nintendo 64. All I can suggest is this, if there's a price you want to get for it, set a reserve on it, buy maybe just a little lower than you hope for. If you're looking for 650, maybe set the reserver at 600, or 575. Start the bidding kind of low so people think they're getting a deal. And don't get worried if the bidding doesn't really move at first, it'll heat up towards the end. Good luck!
1. People will be leary of doing business with you because you have no e-bay feedback. do you have any friends who have done a lot of e-bay business? If so, see if you can get one of them to give you a reference, and be sure to include that you can provide references from other e-bay members.
2. Make sure that buyers can contact you easily. Also, be leary of doing business of people with low or no feedback.
3. Take pictures of the instrument and be honest about its condition. If there's anything wrong with it that you would be concerned with as a buyer, be concerned with it as a seller too. It will go a long way to getting you some positive feedback, and if you are honest and people can see that you are honest via photo proof, it will help the transaction.
It wouldn't hurt to list the serial number of the instrument either.
Good luck!

So I did and I lowered the starting bid a bit. No I have 3 more days to go, 8 people tracking it and 3 people asking questions about it. My starting bid is 600 euros, and I'm hoping to catch 650-700 for it.
But why isn't anybody BIDDING yet!! If I loose it for 600, than the buyer would have an awesome deal, but I'd loose.
Advice?
when the starting price is high, people don't tend to jump in.
but also, how is your feedback? if you only have like 1 or 2 points, people may not totally trust you
As for the reserve, for some reason on Ebay Belgium you can only use that for some items like cars. So I tried, but I couldn't set a reserve. Taat's why my starting bid is at 600.
I hate Ebay already.
thats the main problem...because you have 0 feedback, no one trusts you because you are selling a big item
