Epiphone Riviera with P90's. Looks sweet and I bet it sounds amazing. If could only buy one more guitar in my life, this would be it. Alas, no money and I live outside the US.

both nice. the crack by the jack on the reviera makes me nervous but that's a cool instrument for sure.

but who in their right mind puts a synth pickup in a vintage hollowbody with p90s. that's just nuts.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, but I have no clue what you are talking about. You mean the Casino? I don't see it...

in the text on the casino it talks about holes by the bridge from a synth pickup that it had at some point. it's a shame.

Ah yes, I see it now. That is a shame.

Both very very cool guitars, and those 60's casinos sound absolutely fantastic.

The thing I don't get, if the Rivera is semi hollow like a 335, why put the ridiculous flying bridge on it, nostalgia? If there's a block in the middle, what's wrong with putting a regular bridge on it?

The crack might be a scratch occuring during the hardware change over, those are big P90's.

I really like that guitar too, I just don't get if it's semi hollow, why they used a flying bridge.

WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND PUTS A SYNTH PICKUP IN A CLASSIC?

buy a cheap $200 squire and go to down.. ARRGH!!!

yeah the tailpiece. I'm retarded, I didn't look at the bridge close enough. I see they did use a standard bridge, I'm still not a huge fan of that design, but it does help sustain, the kind I hate are like the ones on hollowbodies like Ric's with no real easy way to adjust them. This one is fine but it's still kind of a pain to restring. I detest re stringing them especially 12 strings.

ha. the tailpiece on my casino is, of course, the same as the right handed one and thus the notches are the wrong size and i get to try to jam a 50 gauge low E into the notch intended for a righty's high E.

but a bigsby B7 will soon eliminate that issue. as soon as i figure out which roller bridge fits in place of the import tune-o-matic.

Yeah that'll be cool. and you can teach the youngin how to break all the strings for the big finale.

The lack of pickguards makes me a little nervous. If I was paying $1500 for a guitar I sure as hell wouldn't want to nick it inadvertantly.

it's not an issue unless you're playing like run punk on it or something.

i took the guard off my casino.
