'Speaking of gear, Vedder has two foot pedals for his guitar: one marked "DIRT", the other marked "SOAP".

    When you put them together you get Soapy Dirt.... or Dirty Soap.

    I never really payed that much attention to the pedals but i would guess Dirt would be Distortion or some kind and Soap would be the Clean channel.

    Dont quote me on that though, just guessing.

    makes perfect sense.

    i saw that too.. he switches back and forth depending on the song..

    he needs to dirty up that soap for WWS though...at least for the chorus.

    if it was a flender not only would you probably not hear the chords other than buzzing but you'd hear octave.

    also flender isn't "soap and dirt" it's "Mud and tar/tone boost" ;)

    plus i saw it and it's not the flender.

    sort of similar metallic appearnace though..

    i've never seen it but i love how it sounds..
