Sorry in advance for this poster 🤓 inquiry:

If anyone knows off-hand, what was the last tour that had posters with dimensions that were different from 18x24?

It can't be coincidence that the last few have been 18x24, can it?

Who would make the determination of the dimensions and relay that to artist? The band? Management?

It's a weird thought for sure, but am just curious. 🤨 😄

Klausen Boston and Seattle 2018 "ticket" posters are not 18x24.  Probably the last 2 of a different size.

Brad Klausen, Mike Fudge and Ken Taylor posters in 2016 were 12" x something. Klausen Madrid 2018 poster was similar.

Doesn’t Tsurt print all the posters nowadays? Assume his setup is based on 18x24 and hence why we no longer get any 12x36s (even the Cooper Imola 22 was an 18x24)

I really dislike how’s there’s no variety with the poster sizes anymore. Posters were definitely more interesting in the past.

Respectfully disagree.  Much prefer  standard size to make swapping prints and frames much easier.

There are plenty of standard sizes. Not everything has to be 18x24.

I kinda like the standard 18x24 because you can get frames at a reasonable price. Can’t afford to custom frame everything.

I get the desire for different but I’m cool with the art being different and sticking with the 18x24 size.

Long line at Volcom.  All the way out the door of the mall if you have been there.  Pass.  Will try later.

Of course.  I’m just referring to the fact that I have a large number of framed 18x24 posters already up on my walls and I occasionally swap one out with a different poster.  So I prefer them keeping the posters at that size so I can reuse the frames and don’t have to spend $200+ on a new one.

I do this as well. It’s nice to be able to put things back in rotation every once in a while

  • Conversely, as someone who collects way too many posters, it pisses me off when anyone puts one out in an oddball size, - 1/3 inches, that type of thing - that isn't standard that ends up forcing me to decide between springing for matting, leaving it floating in a frame that's too big, leaving it rolled in a tube to eventually mess with, or placing it in a poster portfolio... to eventually mess with.

Excited to see the shipping confirmation for the Bella Grace Artist Proof from the Auckland show! A big splurge for me, It's the first Artist Proof I've bought. I just NEEDED it when I saw that it was still available! I think I got the last one, because right after I submitted my order it and got the confirmation, it said SOLD OUT on the listing. For me, it, the Van Orton Wrigley, the Vancouver Whale poster and the DR. J Philly are the best of the tour. Honorable mention to the Kong MSG poster, which really pops in person with the silver! Which have you folks liked best?

Pearl Jam, Pixies & Cosmic Psychos play Melbourne Saturday night and it’s truly an honour to create one of the posters for it ….along with good friend and Ballarat Alumni @justinemcallister

So much pressure…where do you even begin when deciding what to draw. What is Melbourne, what does it feel like.
For me, it’s the painting “Collins St, 5 pm” by John BRACK 1955 . I have always loved it., So here’s my homage. “Collins St, 6 pj”
I imagine it will be a motley crew heading south down Collins St towards Docklands on Saturday night.

I’ve also had fun hiding some references in there…including the guy with the bagpipes. First person to tell me the reference and I’ll send you a poster.

This is the show edition. 5 x colour hand screen print including a metallic bronze.

I’ll have 100 AP editions - signed and numbered with a metallic gold variant colour for sale on my website at 12pm Sunday (Melbourne time)
Subscribe to my website mailing list as I’ll send out the info along with a subscriber discount code Sunday morning. Link in bio.

As always huge thanks to @MrTsurt & @IanWilliamsArt for the opportunity. I love working with them!!!
