Man Of The Hour or Setting Sun in Vancouver

2 weeks before Christmas I lost my Dad/best friend. I had planned on taking him to one of the shows in Vancouver, however rather suddenly my world was turned upside down.

He had been to the previous 2 Vancouver shows with me, and when the rumours of the tour came up I was pumped to be able to get him to one more show.

Fast forward 4 months and I am a wreck. The new album (which is phenomenal by the way) is bringing out a lot of emotions, especially Setting Sun, I even shed a tear when it ended.

In his honour I am hoping to hear Man Of The Hour or Setting Sun at either of the Vancouver shows.

Sorry for rambling, grief is very unpredictable.

Sorry for your loss and hoping your hear one of these!!! Lost my father several years ago and while I wish I could say it gets easier, everyone experiences grief differently (though time does help). The metaphor of riding the wave seems apt. 

You will always have the memories/shared experiences, and he will live on in the virtues he helped foster within you.

Glad you got Setting Sun! I was beyond shocked that they played anything after Ledbetter! As a fellow Vancouverite who also was blessed with a request for their father, you have my full hearted support!

Thank you! When the song started I was shocked they were doing another one. As it intensified I had a tear stream down my face. Powerful song!
