Update!: Ticketmaster account hacked. My ticket for Philly is gone.

    Or people who reliably buy, and maybe even don't sell.

    I've always had very good luck getting through pre-sales, but I always buy a pair and have never had to sell or transfer.

    Ticketmaster has openly said it uses an algorithm to determine if people are scalpers based on their ticket buying and selling histories.  Those accounts are supposed to be filtered out with verified fan which would make a hacked account from a regular user very desirable.

    What happened to @rival9500 is concerning.  I just changed my password and TM prompted me for a code that they sent via email or phone.  How did @rival9500's account get hacked?  Did they also hack @rival9500's phone or email?

    Watch, before you know it, there will be "eye recognition" software at these concerts where you go to a portal, the machine recognizes your eyes and lets you through the turnstiles.

    That is what I’m not sure about.  Could have hacked my email. I changed all of my passwords and attached a new email to my ticketmaster account.   Canceled my cards too. No other accounts or social media were hacked to my knowledge.

    Update: Ticketmaster was helpful and agreed to give me a premium ticket for my troubles in section 115 Row 8 seat 3.  It took a long time on the phone to get the approval for this.  I called them as soon as this new row of premiums became available.  They were all listed at $750 each.  Pretty gross these seats didn’t go to ten club but overall I’m satisfied. 

    PS.  If anyone wants to trade me for a GA, let me know.

    I've never gotten a VF code despite registering for many over the years. If you have tickets for a lot of shows, they assume you are a scalper.

    Yes, this isn't new. I've bought and  sold hundreds over the years and never get verified. So I don't expect it... it never was for the biggest fans

    I didn't expect to get verified either because of all the F2F and upgrades I do. I bought and sold quite a few tickets last year while upgrading. I usually never get VF. Somehow, this year I got it for MSG1. I was really surprised. I ended up getting seats - upper deck - but still....

    This is exactly what I was saying earlier in the thread.  This algorithm puts accounts that buy and sell tickets all the time in the back of the line.  Thus the need for ticket scalpers to obtain new accounts with order history that doesn't show a bunch of sold tickets all over the country.  Do a little googling around aged ticketmaster accounts and you will see plenty of shady offerings.

    I’m not sure. I’ve been shut out of verified fan long before I sold or transferred tickets…

    They did do that, but they don't call if verified fan anymore.  They call it something else.  I've wondered if the dropped the algorithm thing when they stopped calling it verified fan.

    TM loves it when you buy and resell on their platform. I highly doubt they filter out those that flip tickets and resell on their website.

    They still filter out high volume accounts.
