The full collection of songs on Dark Matter are EVEN BETTER than I had hoped

The first two singles, Dark Matter and Running worried me because I couldn't hear Ed's voice very well in the mix but I had a hopeful "Let's wait to hear it all..." attitude.

What a wonderful surprise when I heard the whole collection of songs!

I love the flow of the album and the way Dark Matter and Running contrast with the other songs. I'm not ashamed to say I shed some tears of joy because we have eleven more songs to love.

What did you all think when you heard everything all together?

Felt the same way. When I look back at the last few albums there are individual songs I like better than anything on Dark Matter. The sum of its parts though are very strong. The album is consistent and lean. Can’t wait to see how it comes across live.

Yeah, I'm really glad I get to see 3 shows this summer. Hopefully I get a nice mix of songs from the album.

I'm really trying to be objective here. I love this album! I can't remember the last time I've had a record on repeat like this.

I've now been listening to all other Pearl Jam studio albums and for me...this is the best album since advocado I think. I don't think it's really comparable to yield or binaural purely for the age gap and I think those albums prob had more bredth in terms of musicals styles.

Dark Matter is definitely up there for me.

This is how I feel.  I don’t necessarily hear any anthem like songs in this album but 1-11 it’s their best since Yield.  After three days and about 10 listens it’s really hard to pick 1 favorite song.  First couple of listens wasnt sure about scared of fear and got to give but by the 5th listen now dig them as much as the others.  I really enjoy how this is musically overall.  After 33 years amazing these guys are still this good
