    To me it’s obvious there’s some Pearl Jam songs and there’s some Earthling songs. The riff on React, Respond is Tom Morello. Setting Sun is the “most Pearl Jam” song to me and probably my favorite. The second half of that song is like hard to imagine.

    This entire album does! They haven’t made a record that felt this ready for an arena in so so long. And yet it doesn’t feel like they’re just trying to placate the masses. It’s a real true piece of work and is catchy as all fuck.

    Ok, just finished and yeah, Setting Sun is the best closer in a long time. I can’t wait to play the shit out of this for the next year. Also, taking my soon to be 8 year old son to his first show and the fact this album is this good makes me even more excited than I already was.

    If you had told me this was a cover of a John Lennon song from the White Album, I would have believed you. I mean this as a compliment. Something about the guitar tone + the lyrics + the vocal melody makes it weirdly Beatles-esque to me.
