When a riff comes to easy

Maybe I am questioning things too much but do you trust yourself when a riff or song comes to easy.
I picked up my guitar last night and before I had taken my first sip of wine a really crunchy riff came to me. It came way too easy. It has a Van Halen - Women and Children First kinda feel to it. I really like it but it just came to easy. Right away I found ways to jam around it.
I am racking my brain trying to figure out where I must have stolen it from but I am drawing a blank.
Question - do you trust yourself when it comes too easy? Do I just accept it as a gift from who knows where?

“One good thing about music,
when it hits you, you feel to pain.
So brutalize me with music.”
